The Ricoh Group is expanding its business by providing solutions, particularly document management solutions—our main strength—built on a base formed by our strengths in image-processing technologies and the ability to reach the customers whose trust we have built up over time. The structure can be explained using the analogy of a four-story building as an example. The first two tiers of our four-tiered solution structure, i.e., stand-alone and network-capable image-processing devices, are the foundation of our solutions business. By strengthening this foundation, we expand our business domain into printing solutions (Tier 3) and document management solutions (Tier 4) and increase the productivity of our customers’ work processes.
